Just means you've started a debait on if zombies are actually dead or alive. I don't follow l4d lore but i'm pretty sure since it's a virus they're alive? They're not reanimated corpses like other zombies from media.

i know,its like dying light zombies or world war z type
just find it funny how survivors keep calling them zombies and without mercy killing them all

Its not that hard to notice how government officials never explicitly call them Zombies, just infected for CEDA and "Whisky Delta" for military. Most likely because they already know that the sickness is a rabies like virus and that they can feel pain and don't require a head shot to be taken down permanently like most zombie media.
