Installing Splitscreen on Steam Deck?

I subscribed to the SplitScreen workshop item this morning. When I launch L4D2 now I see that mod listed under Add Ons but it only gives me two options [View in Workshop] or [Browse Workshop] when I select it. What am I missing? I am using a SteamDeck and have never installed an Add On before. We never needed an additional plug in to do couch co op on the console version so I'm a bit lost.

Hey, can you link the workshop addon that you've subscribed to?

For splitscreen on PC you need to use a few console commands or some addons already put a button on your main menu to host splitscreen, depending on the addon you subscribed to, though I cannot guarantee how splitscreen would work on Steam Deck.

This is the first one I found and tried. It shows up under Add Ons but that's about it.

So on your main menu now you should have an option that says "Play Offline Coop", next to Campaign and Singleplayer, select that, you'll have an option to change your splitscreen direction at the botton, then you can select Play Campaign or whatever mode you want, select the level and difficulty and it should load you into splitscreen.

Awesome! I do see Versus there. I just assumed Offline Co-Op was Campaign only. Didn't realize it added all of the different game types to that area. A bit different from console. Thank you very much!
