these are just better versions of the vanilla guns, but there are plenty of other gun mods on the workshop

Left 4 Lib (I think). It’s a collision and physics mod for the infected meaning everything you kill and blow up and collides properly plus it brings the bodycount from 90-120 on screen. A little memory heavy but it brings A LOT of life to the game. Just don’t try with survival though, you’d be lucky to make it past 4 minutes lol

anything from asiandude except for his shotguns, his animations for them are bad

The team health counter is one of the all-around best mods in the game. There are multiple variations, here is a base one:

Adding a dot can function fine along with the crosshair. In fact, the center of your shots is more important than the current spread, but it's good to have both, though you can disable the natural crosshair.

Okay, OK, I'm just kidding.

In fact, it is good to learn a bit about modding so that you can edit those to make them suitable for you. Many mods have random incompatibilities and when I overcame those, picture became awesome.

no mods are directly important and required its really just personalised

but something like team health counter (aditional hud info for teamates like HP value or marks as idle when bot)

there is some that is handy

some that sits on the line between fair and "cheating" (E.G improving the AI)

and others that exist just for the lols like turning the tank into shrek

just use whatever you find helpful or what makes the game more fun for you again
