Was Nick a criminal before the apacolypse?

im giving reasons why i think nick was a criminal/possibly a semi-major heist mastermind


first off if in the begining scene when you first start the game you can see that nick has some sort of device on his gun that can open cash registers easily. asuming that this takes place when the apacolypse was first getting started as you can see that part was before they reached where the first chapter starts so he would more than likely have that before the apacolypse. which would be something many theifs would probably have

this is one of the main reasons i beleive nick was a criminal before the apacolypse

there are also many lines of dialogue he says during games linking telling us a little more about him
i dont know anywhere near all of them but ill tell you the few i know:
"im not legaly aloud to own a gun"
after Coach asks him if he played ball he just flat out answers: Yea about a ball bat and crushing skulls bringing back memorys.
he likes to gamble a lot even during the apacolypse when a jocky gets somebody you can hear this line "10 bucks says he takes him to the right."
and last at one point you can hear something along the lines of "i know how to get blood off a wedding dress"

im not jumping to conclusions yet cuz besides his character design commonly being linked with those types of people in these types of games (thats not realy any good evidence) i dont realy have that much more evidence... if you found any more evidence feel free to comment and i will try to add it to this post

He was a gambler bad boy type. He himself confirmed that he's been in some pretty rough fights. "Brains wash out, swamp water doesn't. Don't ask me how I know that". Honestly not too far from what a heister type might be. Now that I even think about it, it would be pretty rad if Payday 2 had a L4D crossover featuring Nick as a new heister. Would make perfect sense.

He had nothing on his gun. He uses the flashlight under his barrel to mash open the button on the cash register. Which in turns opens the drawer. It's the same key they hit when they open it to give you change with out buying something.

I kinda argree with this. somewere in the 'Dead Center' Campain, he says "I cant legely own a gun, i hope you guys are okay with that." Take note that there in Savanna Geroiga, Geroriga has a law to were you have to have a guns licence to use/buy one. so this therory stands a fairly good chance of being correct. (But hey! Thats just a theory, A GAME THEORY!)
