I've seen people getting a death jump out of a stationary boost (see this video).
It seems to depend on the timing you're jumping, and where you're landing relatively to the center of the zombie. But I couldn't get the fine word of it since it does not happen often.
You can also use zombie boosting to get a huuuge horizontal acceleration. You need to kill/bash the zombies at the same time you jump on his head, and that's really difficult without scripts. View this video for tutorial, and this one because it's amazing.
