He is asking anyone who owns a server to list his server with him in a list of servers that runs certain settings that protect them from DDoS.
Even if I changed my IP, my steam profile can be used to know what servers I am connected to. I will call my ISP to get their advice on this because I don't think Valve is going to pay extra money to offer their customers a safe environment from these attacks that prevent us from playing.
Can I use that packet sniffer on the server itself when I install it on my own PC? Or this sniffer only works on my PC for my own connection? It is not my connection that is getting DDoS.
Just to add, if someone's fk'n with DDoS on your connection, your ISP can and will find out. This state of the internet age, it's a really really bad move for someone to be doing this. Last person I knew of doing something similar a few years back got a knock on their door from the feds (he caused all kinds of hell for server admins who could not stop him) and no one's heard from the guy since. Never thought anyone could stop his ego, but they did.
If it is my connection that the DDoS is messing up I would contact my ISP, but its the servers that I connect to that gets the attack, and the prove is that everyone whose connected to the server gets high pings and leave the game. I do not have this issue when playing Battlefield 4, maybe because this guy do not have the tools to DDoS Battlefield servers. I also host my own Payday 2 games where 3 other players connect to my PC without any lag on their side. It would be nice if I can get this person arrested for what he is doing to me. I will give that sniffer a try and see how it goes.
