Versus Sucks?

Iv'e played about 38 hours of L4D2, mostly on Campaign. Then I decide to try versus. After 3 games without ragequitting (It was hard), here is what happened:
Game 1: Playing on Dead center from the beginning. My team is mostly new players like me, and the other guys are a group of higly coordinated friends. My team does awful, and everyone but me has left by the time we get to the mall. Then some guy shows up and starts berrating me over the mic like f*cking Gordon Ramsay because I am new and havent learned how to play. Some other skilled players join in, and I am trying my best not to quit. Eventualy the a**holes leave, and some of the guys on the other team take pitty on me and decide to switch teams. My team loses, and I feel awful.
Game 2: Playing on dead center from the end of the appartments. I start off with barely any health and a magnum. My team is right by the saferoom and we make it without incident. On the next level, I get pounced/grabbed a lot and the team starts to doubt me. Once we get to the dumpster, one teammate and I get pounced and are left to die. The rest of the team all dies by the gunshop. Then they call a vote to kick me and I get disconnected.
Game 3: Playing on Dark Carnival from the beginning. As soon as I join, I see the other players discussing who they should kick. They then unanimously vote me off 10 seconds later.

Can someone please explain why all versus players seem to be such a**holes? Do I need to get better in the breif time before I get kicked? Do others have to try to tolerate a new player? Please feel free to say your oppinion.

The only team based pvp where people aren't having estrogenic meltdowns in tf2 from my experience.

Never trust random players you dont know. Even when your improving or a pro, those retarded random players are very toxic and will make other players including yourself a living hell like they own you and think they can do whatever the hell they want with you.
