Crashlog?
My game crashes sometimes. Is there a way to see why my game crashed? Payday 2 has a crash log I can easily access and identify why my game crashed. I noticed there's some files in the L4D2 folder that shows when the game crashed, but I can't open them and they are .mdmp. Even after searching google, steam forum and l4d guides I'm not getting any answers.

go into Computer Management
highlight the items i have marked with a red dot on the left and look at the logs on the right.
take note of when your game crashed and pay attention to the times listed on the right.

also if you want to post your mdmp file so i can download it i can open it for you and post it here if you want.

I looked through all the items you highlighted and I couldn't find anything related to the game. When I looked at the date which the game crashed there was still nothing.

I uploaded my last three crashes if you want to take a look at them: http://www.filedropper.com/l4d2crashes

Let me know if the link doesn't work and I'll upload it somewhere else.

Some more info: Yes, I use mods. I have a lot of mods. I played this months ago with lots of mods and the game was completely fine. I mostly just have re-skins and HD mods, then I stopped playing for months and now I came back to the game to play again. I haven't touched the game since and I left it in the same state as when I played it before.

My game doesn't crash all the time. I can join almost all campaign games. The game crashes or freezes mostly when I try to join a versus server where sometimes it loads 60% and stops there forever. If I'm lucky I can join a versus game just fine and play like before. I think the reason for the crashes and loading freezes could be caused because some mods either got updated or removed from the workshop when I wasn't playing.

it could be some of the HD mods. hard to tell, if i were you i'd disable all the mods
refresh your steam files, veify your game cache and play an official map on an offiical server and see if that clears up the problem. if so, it's probably one of your mods.
i'll take a look and post your latest mdmp file here.
Pistol Mags Jul 18, 2016 @ 10:33am
If the crashlog doesn't help at all, then yes I'll I'll have to disable mods one by one (Yes, all 220 of them..) until the crashing stops.

whistles 220 of them? that's a lot.
do what suggest in the previous post
diable mods, refresh steam files verify game cache

here's your crash report. if you want to bundle the mdmp with the other reports and send steam a support ticket..
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1376-WTZN-9132

looks like (and i'm no expert) that tier0.dll and tier.dll are having problems.
there are also some entries that mention shader and materials which maybe pointing to your mods.
i'd do what i suggested in my previous post
it's probably not your computer or the tier files, it's probably to many mods.

Wow that's a lot of information. I'll just do what you suggested however don't expect a response because I might just forget about the game and go play something else. Thank you for the help I wasn't expecting any helpful replies.
