German version is terribly cut

okay i bought the Valve complete pack for 11€ and all games are cut there, including L4D & L4D2. I mean they are TERRIBLY cut:

- No body parts rip apart
- No blood on walls when shooting zombies/infected (in L4D1, i have a little blood but none in L4D2)
- Any explosion makes zombies dissappear completely (if you use for example explosion bullet or pipe bomb, the zombies just dissappear if you hit them, they just dissappear. like you are kicking a player from a server, they just dissappear).
- No bulletholes in zombies/infected
- No fire on zombies/Infected. If you throw molotov on them, they burn and die, but you dont see fire on them, the fire is invisible. This also makes it harder to know which zombie is dying and which one not. Most times i shoot the zombies that are on fire because i think they arent on fire and are attacking me but im just wasting bullets. (In l4D1, i can see the tank on fire, but thats it).
- After you kill a zombie, his body dissappear before he falls to the ground.

Come on, why so much cut and how to fix it? Atleast add a age proof to make it uncut for players over 18+. But this destroys the fun of the game. Even the uncut is not brutal. There are far more brutal games out there.

As long as there is no solution, i recommend for the german user to crack this game instead.

The worstest of all is: they are trying to stop you from getting the uncut version. Several "solutions" doesnt work anymore. And they continue with that FFS!

I only skimmed through OP's post, but your answer was short enough. Actually laws in Germany don't forbid it, it's the developers and publishers who decide to cut due to advertising and money reasons.

Some of the shortcuts can be tackled with mods, like the blood spatter for example. The missing bodies turned out (over 3.5k hours) to be quite benificial. You simply can't get stuck in them. It defo looks nicer as the full version, but its not really a problem.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that laws in Germany forbid very violent games that feature decapitation, guro etc.

No they don't. Advertisement like in TV or displaying indexed games is not allowed. No advertisement -> less popularity -> lower sell rates.
Another problem is that big media stores just don't sell such games at all.

The german laws aren't that strict anymore. L4D2 just had the bad luck that it came out 2010 and back then the laws were a bit harder. If I watch it now I would guess that this game would be nearly uncut in germany. Only thing they would cut is the feature of ripping body limps apart.
Fallout 3 was heavily cut back then and now it came out uncut. Fallout 4 was uncut from the beginning with all that gore and stuff.
But Valve don't care if L4D2 comes out uncut in germany or not.

Everyone gets those, though. Not by default maybe, but it's super easy to unlock them.
Though maybe we can look at it differently, as in, the german players suffering from censoring are to thank for the guns being made available to everyone!

As a russian, I say that the russian version is not censored. Asian countries, Germany, Australia. That's about it.

Well, the german USK has greatly changed their ratings of videogames in the last 5 years. Now most games will be released completely uncut. But you still can't get older games to be uncensored. And some games are still banned. Like wolfenstein (the older ones) and some others. I had L4D1 only as USK german version for xbox and it sucked balls.

The reason why it got so much censoring is because the game displays heavy violence against humanoid creatures/or whatever. You couldn't have that until like 4-5 years ago. Shooting is ok, but heavy violence was not allowed. The USK, german rating thingy did change their ratings though in the past 5 years and nowadays almost every new game is 100% uncensored. Besides nazi ♥♥♥♥ and some extreme scenes. Even though ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nTV and n24 have like a documentary about nazis every sunday/saturday for 2 hours for the 200th time. And inglorious bastards wasn't censored either. Becuz vydaegams arent art, so u haev 2 remove the nazi stuff xDDD
