I remember times ago someone (I think my cousin Sharpie) pointing out how at the start of the events of the game this man is wearing a coach's outfit in a hotel, a place where it doesn't make sense for anyone to be in such outfit. And he literally calls himself "Coach".

Think about it. This guy is sitting in a hotel wearing a coach outfit. Why would anyone wear a coachoutfit in a hotel? What is he going to do? Play football or basketball inside the hotel room?

that is the most random thing i have ever seen, what if coach is in the field trip with his fellow students in a school bus (most likely) and needed to find a place to stay for some idk football season game but then later got attacked by zombies during the process, thats also a possibility. The hotel isnt always mean thats where pedos or groomers come from so in fact we dont know what is coach's relationship at the time or whats he's planning, Ellis and rochelle might be there at the moment at the same time in the same place and Nick is probably just stealing clothes after getting out of jail

1 - I think you're really overthinking this. 2 - it's entirely possible for a coach to be in a hotel because teams travel, and their coaches go with them. 3 - as mentioned before, the intro does show them in a pawn shop where they get chocolate and guns, and it shows them climbing the stairwell together with Nick razzing Coach about the helicopter being made of chocolate.

I think it's more weird that someone would jump to assuming an objectively good guy is a pedo. Clearly not a fan of sports or knowing that teams do travel for games, which in my mind puts your whole theory of if the game starts with him already being there that there would be only shady shenanigans as a reason.

Not really, The Vannah is (or more accurately *was*) a designated evacuation site, hence the overrun evac station outside the main lobby. None of the survivors were staying there or else they would have been evacuated.

Are you suggesting that the survivors were never inside of the hotel when the outbreak started to begin with? Because I find it hard to believe they all came from outside dealing with the infected but then Rochelle, Coach and Ellis mention having never shot a gun before and all of them act surprised when spotting not just the special infected, but also the common ones.

Yes actually, I am stating that since they just barely make it to the evac zone after the evac stations have already pulled back.

As for never dealing with the infected, that is an inconsistency in the campaign actually, as its immediately contradicted for Rochelle and Ellis by:

- Rochelle's entire stated reason for being in georgia is to report for a news station on the escalating situation, and she frequently states seeing and knowing what the special infected are called.
- Ellis' claims to have armored up a truck to be zombie proof, before stating it was only "99% zombie proof as the last 1% (a tank) tore that thing to ♥♥♥♥", and frequently mentions having owned a gun, as well as multiple ones he always wanted.
