How do I skip the intro movie

I have to sit through the intro trailer each time. Hitting 'esc' key or any other key doesn't work.
Not exactly a showstopper but it's annoying not to be able to go straight to the menu.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I believe if you press the space bar, you can skip it.

Cancel my last, I figured it out as per Raxxi's suggestion. Right-click on the game in my library and then Properties then Launch Options. Thanks.

There's another way too:

Head over to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\media

Delete the following files:

l4d2_intro.bik
valve.bik

Or ya know instead of deleting game files you just add a small parameter to the launch options.
