too bad back 4 blood exists, and we will never get left 4 dead 3

Back 4 blood is nothing, it was a diseased toilet bowl of diarrhea
that someone didn't flush, and scooped up to try and sell off as a "spiritual successor"
It really sucked seeing this

gaming really is dead. as a whole, the developers of today, have no passion
no drive, love, care. for making a good, fun, enjoyable quality game

It just kinda sucks, pre 2010, gaming was great
then 2011, comes around, wee get Skyrim horse armor
now, we get unfinished, unpolished, Early access for eternity games
or diablo immortal, which is 500,000$ of micro transactions, every 3 months

it just hurts, because everyone just accepts it, claps, applauds, every bit of it
and the few that try to say something, are stomped out by the sheep herds

It didn't affect anything tbh because they kept saying from the creators of L4D2 when in reality only 7 out of the over 100 people that made L4D2 actually worked on B4B so it was just another turtle rock game nothing more.

Still want a L4D3 honestly hell 12 years later 2 is still amazing and active af.

The last stand was a community created campaign and is the closest Ik personally but off memory there are actually custom created campaigns on the workshop but haven't looked in years honestly :)

copyright stuff i guess, been on verminted 2 alot, but that game is a buggy mess
full of "loot box" based progression. interresting game, but still meh

Left 4 dead 2 just feels so damn polished and peak gaming

i can say b4b's beta did 1 good thing
it made me come back to l4d2 again to refresh my memory
its just an amazing game, and all the mods out there are awesome

chef coach mod
toy land mod
the lotr mod
resident evil 2 mods, with claire skin for zoe or rochelle

just good old gaming, like playing the super nintendo
or some emulators for old ps2, gamecube, nintendo 64 games

The beta did the same for me as well. About the only thing I liked about B4B were the firearms and that was it.

those guns sounded like popcorn and airsoft
and looked like nerf guns

kind of dont understand, were the devs out of budget to do good sound design?

i wonder what a truly great successor game would be like
its not like its a hard complicated thing
the fat shark devs making Warhammer Darktide looked promising
but those devs are just not good at making a polished game
watching footage for Darktide, the ai is inept, its extremely buggy
I hated the loot box reward system in vermintide, it was not good at all
play am ission get 3 useless rng items, the progression stops hard
after playing it for 2 years, i havent gotten a single thing in v2 better than what i had
2 years of 0 progression, new gear, its just bad
it was a fun ok decent game, but Extremely stale
there is alot that could be done to make cool "custom" lite l4d game
the stupid mtx card system was not it in b4b

i like the concept of l4d2 in just picking up the guns as you go
but the arsenal was small. very very small
if it had maybe 3-4 more specials, evolving maps, and 50 more weapons
who knows

maybe customize the guns pre match, or give players ton of custom options
