Wouldn't hurt to remove all the dust from the fans though. Dust in cases often causes problems. Make sure it's properly cooled.

If you know how, can you check the size of your virtual memory? There is also a chance, you may be able to increase performance, by disabling a lot of features that you may be able to find in the same screen as your virtual memory settings. Because operating systems can also be a system hog.

Thing is, if you can confirm to me does it only happens to you playing as survivior because when i play with zombie in versus or scavenge, it's totally fine, just as survivior i have lag spikes/stuttering.
I also noticed in CS:GO same thing happens. Millisecond of framedrop and goes back.
So yea, those are 2 source games. Not that source engine could cause problems but it's strange ;/
