I can't use cheats in single-player.

First of all, i have been vac banned years ago on this game. And i try to play SP, and take some screenshots with some new mods i installed, but just cannot disable the hud, even though i am in single player, i can't use sv_cheats. Someone said that i need to enable it via main menu, then in console type the name of the map i want to go. And i did, but the game says that i am VAC banned.. while playing single-player.
Any idea what to do?

so it takes you 3 and a half years to make a post about how to remove vac ban?

or did you just buy some account that was allready vac banned on l4d2 by valve and wonderd if theres a way to remove it

and to awnser your question you cannot be banned for sv_cheats 1

and you can put -insecure into the launch options to disable vac ofc cannot enter vac servers etc while in -insecure mode

I did not make a post on how to remove a VAC ban though? I got banned, i accepted that, it was my fault.
I only asked why i was banned, in 2018, and it was because i have tried to use a command in a match, i was fairly new back then on steam and didn't have too much knowledge on how things stand.

Also thanks for the answer. I forgot about the launch command, it's been years since i've played this game.

Might not. But i cannot play with commands. As i said, i try to add the command of the Dead Center, let's say. After i press enter and the game loads, it tells me that i am Vac banned, and that the server is protected or something of the sort. Then just goes back to the main menu.

np and you yet again cannot get banned for sv_cheats 1 im not sure what you did but it surely was not sv_cheats 1 valve keeps the vac ban post poned a few days to prevent cheaters / reported users to finding out exactly why there banned

as for sv_cheats 1 banning you it could not have there console related and server side its basicly offical cheats, commands there for developers etc to be able view things like triggers or fly around in no clip mode

people can get away with adding hud mods into there game (not by workshop) and not be punnished from vac by it while i dont have any mods that arent in the workshop i just play it safe

so regardless on how you got vac banned it was not sv_cheats 1

yea even hosting local can have vac enabled by defalt so its autokicking you for the vac ban regardless of being host or not

you have to use map cXmX_XXXX (for example map c2m2_fairgrounds) to have sv_cheats on

since you are vac banned, maybe launch the game with -insecure?
