The military rifle is best for them, because they want to beat the game. Unless they don't, and want to have some sort of a challenge.
It's more entertaining if you lose, and someone still makes it, because then there is drama and happiness, which is ideal for a theatrical play. They have this B-movie theme going on in their game, so, I suppose it's not bad, if you equip the hunting rifle and mess up.
If only these people would stop kicking each other.
military rifle is only better when you are camping
because both guns have the same DPS with minor differences, and no it is obviously not the military rifle.
Great example why is if a smoker is pulling you, hunting rifle will kill it if you aim well and military sniper will roll dice to kill it, with much lower chances with each foot of distance.
Moving accuracy is a very important stat in L4D2 and will always be valued over just more clip size (which is all you get with the military sniper is an increased clip with a longer reload to make the DPS the same)
It is a different story with laser sights involved tho, and they are both equally as good with a laser and it just becomes a preference of even more accuracy or more clip size, but they will both perform very similar with a laser.
Except the military rifle has more ammo?
Despite the dynamic accuracy and more precision with the HR, I actually just swap for the mil rifle instead because I know HOW to use it correctly (in campaign, full team). I just want that DPS even when playing on solo sometimes.
