Why are all the servers I enter in Spanish?

Every server that I join is spanish, and due to my lack of knowledge in this language I can't comunicate with the players and get often kicked. How do I join american servers, or Brazillian servers?

Because you're brazilian and l4d2 doesnt want you to play with 900+ ping connecting to a server on the other side of the world because the distinguished mr.pedrowzzz is too lazy to find friends to find a private match and not get kicked.

Ok, so since I'm from Brazil it automatically connects me to servers on Argentina, Uruguay or Mexico?

I actually like to play online, It's only a shame that all the servers are from Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina and Peru because I don't know how to speak spanish very well and can't comunicate with my team mates.

This probably won't work but you can try a VPN, but that might be laggy as hell

Last i heard, there aren't any L4D2 servers in South America that are located in Brazil, all of them are located in spanish speaking countries, thus this being the reason you can only join spanish speaking servers with +100 ping in South America, but this is open for debate because i didn't research if this claim is actually true.

Forgot to mention it, but you can try joining into a brazilian steam group, if you like you can also find some zonemod groups (zonemod is modified versus for competitive matches/tournaments if you didn't know)

No need for a VPN, L4D2 matchmaking is based on Steam DL region.

I feel you man. The majority of US east servers I join (mostly in versus) are filled with folk who only speak Spanish. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I'd really prefer to be matched with players I can communicate without issue.
