It's not a bad option... loads of streamers and gamers use it because it's literally one of the best of out there...
It's not wireless. Well, at least the old one isn't, it actually has a very long cable, too long for some though. The wireless version recently came out a few months ago but it's way more expensive.
That means that, no matter the headset, you wont be able to tell if the sound is emitting from below or above you, and also a sound directly in front of you sounds the same as one behind you. Players actually determine the exact horizontal direction by moving the camera even slightly, the brain picks up on that immediately. (But the up-down thing pretty much just comes down to map knowledge, it's completely unintuitive)
So ultimately, a really expensive headset wouldn't make too significant of a difference over the one that's just decent. You just need a headset that you can comfortably use at higher volumes.
