Back 4 Blood is just god Awful

what a terrible game, it made me come straight back over to this. (L4D2 <3)
the devs really dropped that game hard on its arse'

-i just beat act 1 and never want to touch that game ever again, it really is a massive downgrade in every regards, i do not know why it is such a bad state, but everything is just awful in comparison, it feels generic, over cluttered, and unstable. the Ai teammate bots stand there with 1 zombie smacking them, they will not revive you, they just bug out and warp around all over the place, the guns sound terrible, feel terrible, and there really isnt anything we haven't seen before, its just copy pasted guns that are in every game ever.
the "ridden" are dumb, the atmosphere, world design, it just feels too arcadey, the card system, pointless, and the health degradation, is un-neccesary.

i love L4d 1 and 2, and its just so polished, but then you see this, play it, and vomit.
why is it this god awful? why am i paying to buy med-kits, why are there cards on the ground you have to buy? or "toolkit" doors all over, which feel pointless. Copper feels really obnoxious and inserted for no reason at all. its gross. like dude.

you know thinking about it, the special "ridden" in B4B do not actually feel special.
They have no pop, like how each special infected do, the 7 specials you fight in L4D 2 all each have their own theme song, and thats like dude, kinda cool.

Or a tank, toss bile onto him, and light him up.

The common infected, move slow enough to mow down, but still gank you if you are not careful, where as the Ridden commons, they just rush you all the time, and force you to stop moving, in L4d2, you feel like you are always moving, but B4B you are always stopping, especially to equip some useless +5hp card in-between every single act of a chapter, with a 3 minute long timer or whatever. in b4b your freaking health degrades, or your stamina constantly buggers you out, or your ai teammates, do basically nothing.

when people said that people behind L4D were part of the B4b crew, that seemed kind of cool, until you realize, its also the team behind Evolve, which thankfully, we got 1 good thing out of that game, Dead by Daylight.

I want to believe you genuinely believe the garbage you're spewing here instead of being a shill, but I just can not. Because I don't want to believe you're this ignorant/stupid.

In L4D we go through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ carvinal circus, with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown zombies, and then through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rollercoaster, that ends at a concert with rock music playing. All the while with charismatic as ♥♥♥♥ special infected and player characters. In B4B you go through the most generic, plain AF couple of tunnels, a couple swamps, and absolutely plain wooded areas.

Obviously the movement is better. But L4D is OVER A DECADE OLD ON AN INFERIOR GAME ENGINE WITH LESS CAPABILITIES. It was a pioneer. A legend to this day that is still used as a gold standard for multiplayer coop games and zombie survival. B4B has the insane advantage of being able to look at all the games previous - to be able to see what was done well and what wasn't done well - and they STILL have such absolutely flawed, inexcusable design. Maybe it would be excusable if it were some F2P game, which it feels like. But they're already charging $60 (much more in certain regions) AND they're already stating that new maps, new human characters, and new special infected will be behind paywalls AND the last games these devs created (Evolve) are among the most ridiculously monetized games in all of PC gaming history.

To excuse and, worse, defend this garbage is just asinine.

It's honestly quite surprising, the amount of disdain there is for mods in this thread. I know that the anime mods give it a bad wrap, but damn dude... there's more to L4D2 modding than anime mods. The tagline "Your own custom apocalypse" on the workshop is the reason why modding is important for a game like this because yeah, 14 campaigns and 8 gameplay modes are a lot, but the modding community makes the amount of campaigns and gameplay modes damn near infinite if you check back everyday. Sure, some are ♥♥♥♥, but there are some really good ones. Without these really good ones, you might get bored of L4D2 after playing and mastering the 14 campaigns and 8 gameplay modes...

Even then though, without mods, you could put L4D2 on hold so that way you can focus on life and come back to it like three months later and you wouldn't miss anything. Is it going to be the same for Back 4 Blood or are you going to be missing events and falling behind others constantly if you do that? I myself will admit that I am a "flavor of the month" kind of person so right now I'm on a Zombie kick again. If I lose that kick within the next month or so and get it back later like how much ♥♥♥♥ will I have missed with B4B? At least with L4D2, it doesn't matter.

You should take your own advice.

It's so incredibly obvious that you are defending the game because you can't accept the fact that there are so many other people who don't like it. I get it. I've been there myself (though unlike you, when this happens, I choose to instead just stop visiting the forums). But you trying to shill for it and just grasping at straws to defend it, and coming up with all kinds of asinine, puerile insults is not helping anyone. It's not even helping your own cause of wanting to see the game succeed. You're actually actively working against your own goals, unbeknownst to yourself. Because when other more neutral parties come to this forum and see people arguing - it's not a good look for the game.
