Tank spawned just at the end of rollercoaster ride right before safehouse (never got to fight it since we went inside)
Witch spawned on 1st map inside hostel room on top floor (you know the room where you HAVE to enter to proceed, usually some frag rounds in bathroom), she was RIGHT behind the door so as soon as I opened the door it slammed and startled her and me xD
2 the last stand brought it back into the game
3. it originates from l4d1 but it was so rare etc that valve most likely just decided it was better to remove the spawn overall (like some other tank spawns that were re introduced in tls update -cough- no mercy 4 is horrible for its tank spawns -cough-
The warehouse and sewer sections also have a few nasty tank spawns as well: The stairs leading down to the boiler room (the tank can and will spawn in front of you as you make that final descent), the sewers themselves after immediately dropping down, and my favorite spot is right outside the hospital.
The last one I truly dislike as depending on where the tank spawns it can deck you if you are not quick enough to duck back down in the sewers.
Guess the director had the right call on spawning a tank there after all.
if you had a bile it was really easy to just run there, start it, bile, drop the the safe room from the elevator and then wait, you'd also usually get a lot of bile from this since the director seems to spawn extra horde when you do this because it pisses him off
tank really throws a wrench into this tactic tho because hes very likely to down you either before or after you press the button and he'll destroy the safe room door, plus he takes too long to deal with to make this strat worth doing since its supposed to be like a 20-30s strat before specials start spawning
yea theres meany spots to list in general
i dont remember tank spawns in chapter 3 happanin before there pre last stand but ether way it just forces everyone to run back and hard counter the tank Its unfair for the tank Unfair for the first person to get the tank to have to run that far and lose controll
and just boring for the survivors
but i didnt meantion the meny unresonable spawns because that could go on forever xD
it dosnt really stop it imo its not a consistent tank spawn and theres just the open area that everyone waits in that can easily counter the tank anyways and no one bothers to go for the molotov the max you get is just seeing hjow long you can stall with tank which creats inconsistency rather than helping the balence
so i find it worse that the tank spawn is there considering the enemy team may make the tank live as long as possible get like 3 or 4 attacks in while my tank just charges in head first
then after the button and on the roof That room is much sided as survivor as tank
ether the infected get a great ambush and the survivors cannot do anything but be destroyed or the infected fail tank enters the room and gets destroyed
There was probibly a good reason valve removed them in the l4d2 port
also can i just say that about the last stand updates survival maps aswell Its clear why some areas went completly unused
But in the first episode? This was the first time I ever witnessed it! Even stranger when I was the only human on the team lol
Exactly my thoughts... I mean, there's a chance of getting a tank in The Sacrifice (for example) in the first episode.. But in No Mercy? left4dead3 confirmed, I guess xD
