Are people forced to download my mods when joining a server?
Say I make a server that is a "Local Server" and set to "Public Game", if people try to join is it going to force them to download my mods? Because I don't want that, I know there's some sort of consistency command but I am wondering if I need to type that to make it not force them, or if thats just how it normally is, and changing the consistency changes it to force them to download them. I just got an error when joining my own SINGLEPLAYER campaign saying the server is forcing consistency of some witch texture. (My witch skin is the sawcrazy from Cry Of Fear)

No, your friends aren’t going to see all your big tiddy nekkid zoey mods.

Type “sv_consistency 0” in console to fix the error.

No, skin mods are client-side.

Most of the mods that are purely cosmetic or affect your HUD (Your NSFW skin mods, the minecraft zombies, your collection of anime girl plastered guns, all those aderaline that has been reskinned as coffee, and that clingy thot of a anime girl that may replace the Hunter, etc.) are client side only and are not even observed by the other players.

There are a few mods that are server-side, but most of those boil down to blatant balance changes such as modifying the AK's damage, adding inventory slots, and making pipe bombs sound off for 12 seconds rather then their default duration. In those cases, official servers will enforce consistency and either omit the mods or refuse to let you join.

Versus mode on official servers however will enforce consistency of vanilla L4D2 to the very core. So no mods are allowed whatsoever.
