How to unlock "Shotgun Wedding" achievement?

I tried multiple times now, i start the game on easy, change to expert as soon as i encounter her but she doesn't die with only 1 shot. What am doing wrong?

It may sound low life but assuming you don't want to actually try it on expert. So Try using Admin system addon from Rayman. Start up in local server on expert difficulty. Spawn SPAS-12. Use "!god" to make you invulrenable. And use !kill X (replace the X with special infected) on special infected who gets in your way. You may use !fly so you can go there faster. Once behind the witch. Use !timescale 0.1 to slow the game down to give you lot of time to aim at your head. If she's killed in one hit. You will get the achievement.

Admin system does not block achievement. Assuming the sv_cheat is off (0).

I did it today but I aim more to the head on expert, the chest only work for me on lower difficulty, and use the shotgun chrome or pump, t1 shotguns are better than the t2 ones they do more damage but are slow.

Update: Just got the achievement. I started the game on expert, changed to easy, then, before facing her changed back to expert, got really, reaaaally close to her and shot her down.

Not quite. Checking the wiki, the only T2 shotgun that does more damage per shot is the Tactical (the one from L4D), by about 30. The other three are more or less all the same.

Either way, they're all more than enough to crown the witch.

oh sorry i always thinked the t1 ones did more damage cause it was easier to kill the witch with then, maybe its just how the bullets spread dunno.

You absolutely can switch difficulties. That's how I did it: Host a private lobby (I used an official server, but it shouldn't matter, I've got plenty of achievements from playing on Local), start it on easy, rush to the witch, switch difficulty, and crown her.

If you don't get the achievement it's not because you switched difficulties, it's because achievements are bugged af.

dude thanks so much! ive been trying to do this retarded achievement for several days now to the point i want to uninstall the game. you saved my sanity!

I did this achievement, you are able to switch difficulties, I started easy, rushed too witch, then switched to expert. It works.
You just gotta get her right before shes about to attack you, around the neck, takes a few tries!
