The achievement icon is a running joke between the Left 4 Dead games and Dead Rising games.
- In the original DR game, the town the game takes place in has a population of 53,594, and the game has an achievement, "Zombie Genocider", for killing that many zombies in a single story mode/72 HR run.
- L4D1 one-ups them with "Zombie Genocidist", for killing 53,595 zombies over your entire playtime.
- DR2 follows up with "Z-Genocider 2: Genocide Harder", for killing 53,596 zombies: the achievement description even reads: "Killed 53,596 zombies. You left them all for dead! "
- DR3 has an achievement “Master of Massacre” for killing 53,597 zombies.
So now the new achievement is earned for killing one more zombie than Dead Rising series. The battle continues...
I am not sure what game though had you killing 53,598 zombies though, maybe someone else can jump in. Also another interesting tidbit is that in DR3 there is a achievement that you can get by killing a total of 100,004 zombies and its called "left 100,004 dead"
