How do I properly use the Steam ID banning from my server?
Same as title.. I seem to not be getting results.

Lots of ways to do it. Here's a few.
Right click player name in HLSW. Click ban ID
Use the Admin menu.
Add their steamID to the banned_user.cfg in the /left4dead2/cfg folder
In console type status, sm_ban <#userid/name> <time in minutes> <reason>

Not sure what you mean. This worked fine for me.
sm_ban STEAM_0:0:149868194 permanent suicide

When you type commands, they offer suggestions for auto-complete. There's a command for banid, so I was curious about how to use it properly. I'd tried what you had above minus the "sm_ban" portion.

Steam isn't embedding the image properly. I don't know what it is you're trying to show me.

This only works if you're using sourcemod. It's not a vanilla command.
