L4d2 No Mercy Ch 4 Hospital Crash

Ever since yesterday after Pit Stop Winter Mix custom campaign my game has been crashing upon load into JUST No mercy hospital chapter ONLY, i can load rooftop or any other no mercy level or any other chapter in l4d2 but hospital it just refuses to load

I've tried loading before mods load and its fine, then i unsub all and just slowly sub back and it works fine until a point then it stops and crashes again, and i only put mods that have worked for MONTHS fine. and then i tried backing up custom voice files and verifying, that did nothing to solve the issue, i tried deleted video and video defaults from cfg and STILL it crashes, tried unsubbing to the mods that were new since it happened and no matter it STILL crashes on no mercy ch 4

What is happening? that it only crashes on ONE map? what else is there to try besides the obvious reinstall which i would prefer not to do since itd take so long >,>

Edit: I tried No mercy chapter 04 on an alt steam with close to the same mod-set and i can load into it fine on the alt but i go on this one, my main and its back to crashing, So No mercy chapter 4 crashes but no other one does and ONLY on this steam acct which ud think makes 0 difference esp with similar mods

I also tried uninstalling L4D2 and then deleting its whole folder and reinstalling and it STILL crashes ONLY on the hospital load AND only on this account, nothing else

How is that helpful?? There is 0 reason this should be happening, SOMEONE with the scope of l4d2 community should know why i crash ONLY on No mercy ch 4 and no other map

Try playing Hard Rain maps 3-5. If those crash as well, it's an issue with the rain particles, since No Mercy 4 is one of the only maps that uses a significant amount of rain (on the rooftop). I had a difficult time as well figuring out what was crashing No Mercy map 4 a while back and that was the answer.

If that does turn out to be the issue, how did you fix it so it wouldnt crash with the rain particles?

You would need GCFScape first and essentially create your own .vpk of Pit Stop Winter Mix without the particles folder, which is a lot easier than it sounds. You would create a new folder, open Pit Stop Winter Mix with GCFScape, put everything in that campaign into the new folder, delete the particles folder, then drag the entire folder over vpk.exe in the Left 4 Dead 2\bin folder, then put the newly generated .vpk in your addons folder. Of course you would then unsubscribe from the old Pit Stop because you wouldn't need it anymore.
