L4D1 & 2 are way too expensive!

Dear Valve,

You probably won't read this but I have the feeling that L4D1 and even L4D2 are pretty much dead.
Compared to the early days there are barely any players.
I think having 19.99 for a game after this much time is kind of crazy and the game would have been better served by being cheaper (like years ago, but more importantly very cheap right now).

Just saying that most games that are slowly bleeding players go free 2 play.
Not suggesting this for L4D, since the game type is slightly different then the ones that go f2p, but would be nice to attract more players.

Or get a L4D3. And a HL3 while you're at it ;-)

They're very well priced, considering that both go on very steep discounts during major sales. You can easily get both games for 4 dollars.

19.99 is fairly priced for how much you can get out of the game. You've played almost 500 hours of the game. From a business stand point--not a penny pincher stand point--say you work maybe 50+ hours a week and make 8 dollars an hour making roughly 400 dollars (before taxes) a week.

Youve made enough to buy this game 20 times give or take and thats just at its base price, not during a sale, from working just one week.

Now multiply the time you spent in game with how much money you make an hour and you have roughly 4000 dollars.

So what youre trying to say is that a game that youve gotten well over your money's worth of roughly 4000 dollars SO FAR isn't worth a base price of 19.99?

Never said anything about it not being worth it, I enjoyed my fair share of the game over the years. It's just empty now and I am guessing lowering the price might shake up the player count a bit for as long as it will last.

but the reason its playerbase is low (it actually isnt that low btw) would be because its almost a 10 year old game, not because its a 20 dollar game.

They are fine as they are plenty of discounts to begin with. If the game would go cheap constantly it attracts cheaters who will buy lets say 10 accounts for the same one game price and ruin versus play to players making people quit the game so no.

possibly the dumbest statement I've seen in a while. Bleeding players? This game has been in the top played steam games for almost a decade now. 20k people a day and you think it's dying?
