splitscreen + online

hello, i want a play in a pc split screen campaing, and another friend join this like a 3rd player. Is possible do this? anyone know how do it?

this link *may* help you for the split screen part but i'm not so sure about with a online friend since i never tried it. I'm not sure if the game mode that this article talks about "split screen mode" allows online friends to join in as well since it says split screen mode

I can confirm that it is indeed possible to host a splitscreen session which another player can join or vice versa.

It's like hosting your own session but with two players on one computer controlling two bots, not much different than playing on XBOX.

both are in different pc wth different ip (in different house)

i try two way

1) make a campaing for both like friend, join but single in both pc, and after in the pc that need split screen
use the command

connect_splitscreen localhost 2
or
connect_splitscreen localhost 3

but say too many players in the game, (means there are the four, 2 for me and my friend and another 2 of pc)


2) in the pc that need split screen start a campaing with split screen and after the other pc try join with ip with the command

connect_splitscreen "ipaddress" 2
or
connect_splitscreen "ipaddress" 3


but again the same, there are too many players in the game



so i don't know how do, maybe is not posible

This should allow you to connect to servers with 2 players on splitscreen. But beware, you cant join to any server in splitscreen that uses "sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 1", which includes all official servers.

so how do it? becasue i use this addon
"SFKTeam's custom menu (splitscreen!)"

the steps will be?

1) select split screen
2) in game in console you say that i write

sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 1 or 0

3) after in the console other pc write

connect_splitscreen localhost ipaddress:port 2

if you are hosting a game with splitscreen, others can join with "connect iphere" command, you need to port forward though, also you need to use sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0.

you use connect_splitscreen only when joining to other games, not making one.
