Sadly yes, valve disabled addons in VS
It blows my mind aswell, they havn't updated the game since 2012 and yet out of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nowhere they decide after 9 years that mods gotta go.
Its sad because this game is finally gonna die now, Mods were the only thing keeping this game alive and now they are gone.
The biggest paradox about this is the fact that they made it impossible to SV_Pure in CSGO or TF2 while at the same forcing mods to be removed on L4D2.

The game doesn't run on officials only,but if anything,it's better,since workshop is filled with anime garbage,and even "cheat" mods.

That's what I did 1 hour ago. :)
Oh and I played on an Official Server for 5 minutes before that and I saw that my mods are still working.
Edit: I just said it just because other people said it but for me it works so the game ain't dead for me.

I agree with that I don't like how people throw the "GAME IS DEAD" card either, but I just think it was one of the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing VALVe could've done... No warning, just gone.

You can't track down all of them. The majority of cheat addons aren't on steam workshop.

There are those who play csgo just for the skins (as apparent in the vac forums). Although, l4d2 was never really well known for it's add-ons as much as vs itself. I played with few add-ons, so it pretty much doesn't affect me thankfully.
