You can use this mods to get a performance increase on your game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=921044143

You can use Hialgo Switch or Hialgo Boost to cut in 50% the resolution of your game (for example, if your resolution is 1280x720 it will cut in half, so you will be playing in 640x360). I can confirm to you that you will not get a VAC ban for using this. I used this a lot while i had a poor computer.

Also you may get a fps boost cfg and write -lv on the advanced options of your game (You will be playing L4D2 in low violence mode with this command, but certainly you will get a fps increase).

P.S Don't listen to this disgusting comments complaining you have a low-end PC. They don't know your financial situation to tell you to get a better computer.

Nobody is telling him that. We just tried to help him here. Unless if you’re referencing to possible future comment, that’s understandable.

You do not typically need a 3rd party program in order to downsample games. It should be able to be done via your graphics API
