just the way god intended
Respectfully agree.
I don’t think you understand how VAC work in L4D2...
After being banned he rejoined t mins later with a different account
Just to clarify, i don't call cheater unless i see amazing (aimbot lvl) aim, speed hacking, and bonus points for the other little tricks like teleporting jockeys.

You can find the ip and steam id of the guy on github, have fun.
Even though you show a video with the obviousness of a cheater, I guess Valve really doesn't like it when you expose how bad VAC is in this game.
It is about forum rules, and you're not allowed to name / shame individuals even if you probably think we have no information on whom they may be,
That fiasco is something better left for personal conversations.
The thing about VAC is that it issues delayed bans.
It relies on a system where it's non-intrusive, scans the system for known cheat binaries and marks the account 64 ID for a delayed ban if anything was detected.
That delay period may be unspecified, but it is in such a way to bottleneck cheat development.
If the system is to be "improved" in any way, it's about adding more cheat signatures.
A lot of cheats that work on one source engine game, tends to carry over to another or vice versa.
These are the most common ones that easily get detected.
Does it work? - Yes, but its effectiveness is questionable for L4D2.
Interesting because I get the average stalker on these forums every once in a while and those posts don't get removed. I guess now I'm naming a shaming a user for trying to name and shame me, heh.
Virtually anywhere else you can do this. Valve is so afraid of having their system exposed.
Yet when there is actual evidence displaying that somebody has cheated within a multiplayer match, it gets removed. Instead you have to rely on the absolutely useless report system that is backlogged with so many reports that Valve will look at them months down the line. Not that it matters because they claim "Thanks! We use these reports to help address cheating. We do not issue bans based solely on reports."
Not sure even what the point of a delayed banned system is for. When cheat makers can easily tell what triggers it because hey! They have the cheats! Just have a bot smurf account for aimbot, another one for speed hack, y'know. Test the waters. And when the ban wave hits? Oh look! Now you know which cheats were detected and which ones weren't, and you've effectively beaten the system. Rinse and repeat like a charm.
I've seen the same cheaters from four years ago still play on official. Valve is so awful at finding undetected cheats. They're trying to put a band aid on an already amputated limb.
Help address cheating when Left 4 Dead 2 is flooding with these cheaters everyday because VAC is so outdated. Oh yeah it definitely works, you just need to wait a year or so for them to finally update it. Great system indeed.
VAC really doesn't work for this game. Want to know why? Because people could just smurf. You have $10? Buy L4D2 five times when it goes on sale on multiple accounts and enjoy your virtually permanent time with each of those accounts with cheats. All of them finally got banned years later? Well good news! The game is now even cheaper and you can get L4D2 for $1! Or some other nonsense like that.
Cheaters won against VAC in this game like half a decade ago.
Even if people doesnt use cheat but in game GLITCHES they get banned as fast unlike you would be in l4d2 (because its old you would say who know)
VAC is the worst in L4D2 because there isn't as big of a community here. But the result to that is the game is ripe with literally hundreds of exploits and bugs.
CS:GO was made free but I'm willing to bet they put their full focus on VAC their because of the microtransaction crap they so desperately need to protect.
For VAC to have any effect you need to crack down on it and make players consider their value worth of buying said cheats at the risk of losing it two weeks later in a delayed update. L4D2 doesn't have this.
