Why do people make anime skins on L4D2?

I mean c'mon, most of them are EXACTLY the same thing! And people are still making more to this day! This needs to stop! What are the purposes of making anime skins to begin with? This is Left 4 Dead 2, not create your own anime character to survive a zombie apocolypse! Yeah that might've sounded really stupid but sadly it's true.

The workshop itself is pretty bad already, everything in it is not sorted correctly -- you can find stolen items, people using the wrong tags, junk mods and so on.
I don't actually hate anime but the workshop is filled with it, it's too much.

In that case,I honestly can’t see anything wrong with the Girls Frontline ones. Aside from HK416,the UMP sisters and M4 SOPMOD are relatively suited with their militarized outfits.

The simple answer to your question is: Because people can.

There's barely any restriction as to what people can upload to the workshop, I would hate if creative freedom was taken away from the workshop.

I don't mind that there's alot of anime mods, because if that's what people want to upload, let them. If people don't like it that's perfectly fine too, however there is plenty of non-anime mods everywhere if you look around. If people think there's not enough non-anime mods, people could just stop being lazy and learn to make and upload mods of their liking that isn't anime.

Note: Left 4 Dead 2's workshop flat out says: "Your own custom apocalypse". Implying that people have the freedom to make the game however they want, even if it doesn't make any sense. I just don't really see an issue here unless you're just a hater of certain things like anime. I don't like furries for example, but I don't cry about it because it's immature to do so if that's what people near you like. The mature thing to do is just accept what people like, and if you don't like it, simply ignore it, it's not that hard honestly.
