Its not neccessary anymore. It was for open beta testing patches for the game. Production on this game finished 6+ years ago. The beta has no reason to exist andymore and frnakly was just taking up space.

I've always loved the Beta as an alternative to playing the real l4d2. Now I have no reason to play this game I poored 1234 houres into anymore

I too noticed yesterday that Left 4 Dead 2 Beta disappeared from my library. To be honest I would have removed it myself if I could, but me being me I got all paranoid that it may be some kind of a bug and my other games may also start disappearing lol.

As someone pointed out, looks like its community page now redirects to the Steam store main page as well.

ive had l4d2 and l4d2 beta since i bought it in 2014

Why would you even care about the beta? Thats just weird to have a rant over an unfinished copy of the game being removed.
