AK47 vs M16 vs SCAR

Besdies rates of fire and magazine sizes which one is the best out of the 3 in you guys opinions. I usually go M16 and occasionally pick up the AK. Dont really use the SCAR much

AK47 do much damage and good fire rate for M16 fire rate is much better but low accuracy meanwhile SCAR is best at accuracy

According to the wiki:

SCAR has the worst power but best accuracy.
AK-47 has the best power but worst accuracy.
M16 is the middle ground of those categories.

I try to use the M16 or AK. If I have access to a laser sight upgrade I ALWAYS try to put it on an AK. As it makes it an absolute beast.

AK kills common infected in one hit on easy and normal, but two on advanced, expert, and realism, making it ideal for lower difficulties.

M16 has superior accuracy, firerate, and capacity compared to the AK, and while not a one-hit on common infected, makes up for by accurately mowing down special infected (hold still and crouch for best results).

SCAR is the most accurate, making it the ideal assault rifle for picking off specials with long-ranged headshots, but lacks the firerate for dealing with immediate hordes like the AK and M16.

AK all the way.. the only(ish) good thing SCAR and M16 has going is accuracy, and that role is better filled with a sniper

I played Counter-Strike for one and half decade and this game isn't CS lol. You dont need to super control the AK's recoil at all and it'll still hit single Jockey/Smoker and Horde at 100++m away 80% of the time with fully automatic shot on Highest Difficulty .. even every weapon accuracy feels so identical in L4D, except when you run and gun. Beginners that previously ever played any modern FPS for at least 50hours would easily use L4D's AK.

It depends on playstyle, however the AK is the jack of all trades and master of all kind of weapon. I prefer the m4 for the better accuracy however. SCAR has its purposes, it is really good at taking out SI when crouching since all 3 shots will go where you aimmed, but the AK has the highest DPS in the game bar m60 and is the most versatile because of it.

Main reason AK is so powerful is because pressing ctrl gets rid of its only weakness.

IMO, M16 is better for Realism Expert. It has less recoil and thus it is more accurate when aiming for the head.

I like the M16 just because of the high fire rate and 60 round mag. It's perfect for killing loads of commons.

AK47 is undoubtedly the best due to its massive damage. At normal difficulty you can one-shot commons and it makes quick work of Special Infected, even the Tank and even at pretty long ranges. It's accuracy is the worst due to the recoil, but despite that you can very easily pick off commons in a large open area before they become a threat. Plus it's easier to tap the trigger and just shoot one bullet, meaning it's a very resourceful weapon when it comes to ammo.

With a laser sight it's simply godly.

To top it off, if you headshot a witch while she's in the sitting-crying position, she'll be stunned. You can close in on her and extend that stun by shoving, interlaced with melee hits. Meaning you can kill a witch without taking any damage.

For all those reasons the AK is the best of all rifles.
