I found another " idle " exploit . People should be aware of this

1 ) Get Boomer vomit on yourself .
2 ) Go idle .
3 ) Watch as you are not blinded anymore .

Of course the common infected will still go for any player that has vomit on them . But what makes a Boomer a threat is that it compromises the vision of a survivor . I always wondered why people spammed idle more lately after getting vomit on themselves . Tested it . Found this . Yet another reason to kick people that do this .

I also did not find any other thread on this matter . So I started this one .

Idle is pretty broken:

1. Shoot grenade launcher at survivor, go idle before it hits, survivor gets incapacitated

2. Spam idle in the No Mercy elevator, you'll either go on top of the map, on top of the elevator roof, or go through the elevator

3. Spam idle while incapacitated to stop zombies from hitting you

4. Spam idle while a Charger has pinned you to stop them from doing any damage

5. Press idle as you're picking yourself up from being pinned to stop the animation

6. Press idle when stuck in an area where the bot can't path which leads to it slamming its head against the wall to teleport inside a survivor which causes it to be incapacitated on expert because the survivor is shooting.

6. Press idle then go into the Steam Overlay, then go to Support, then blame Valve for being lazy and not fixing any of these issues.

Idle is a really big issue . It does not have any impact when I play . I have my own server . I punish people for taking the idle way out .

But this is game breaking when on a Official Dedicated . Best to watch out for " idle " actions . Then deal with it as best as you can .

Are you threatening to use this information elsewhere or report it to Valve? You're welcome to. All of this information has been public and I couldn't really care less what you decided to use it for.

Will be honest though, it did feel great to crash your servers, you post malicious ads in MoTD, refuse to ban people when they ask, leech off the L4D2 Game hub so everyone of your servers are in the Versus listing, have people in your group discussions telling others to kill themselves. LEaver even banned me from the discussions board in Lewd4Dead for posting on how to stop entering your servers using the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Server Stopper a few months back.

You need to learn that you had every opportunity to ban me and others, and you decided that ad revenue from MoTD was more important. So yeah, keep trying bud. I hope Valve removes your servers like they did the last time a few years back.

if you optimize your game right and have a bit of a brain you can clearly see when boomed.
countless times I have been named hacker, due to killing things while boomed by kids who play versus with everthing on High and don't even know what lerp is.

I do agree with this Finn . However . I have witnessed the majority of players in public games go idle just to remove the blind aspect of the vomit . I just recently learned this only by 1 person admitting why they went idle . Then I looked back upon past games & realized why so many people went into idle state .

Chaos isn't wrong either, you need to learn to put up with being blinded by the bile and not using an idle mechanic as a crutch, that kind of behavior gets you nowhere hell the players that even do that are almost without a doubt get nowhere in versus mode because they can't handle not having their crutches.
Edit: and no surprise onexone is beginning to spam the forums once again.

This is not true. People who know the idle exploits are generally already experienced players at the game. Saying that they wouldn't get nowhere in versus for using the exploit is pretty ridiculous.

Campaign mode is not competitive so there's no problems using these exploits. If people don't like it, they should blame Valve for not fixing it.

Yes there is problems . Some exploits can make 1 single player survive a finale solo without any problems . Since L4D 2 is designed to be a team game , these " exploits " violate the spirit of the game .

I agree that Valve should take some responsibility . But that still does not excuse players . I remember back in the day , BLIZZARD would perma ban people on World of Warcraft for using exploits . Even before they get patched . While it's a different game with a different developer , WoW & L4D 2 are still considered online games . Punishments should be given out .
