[Linux][Fix] for issue: S_StartSound: Failed to load sound '*#music/l4d2/l4d2_c1_pc.mp3', file probably missing from disk/repository

Well, you just started launching the game and reached to the game menu... ?
Or even you are in a custom/native campaign ?

But you noticed instead of playing musics (not sounds, I mean MUSICS)...
that you see under a Linux operating system in your console the warning error:

S_StartSound: Failed to load sound '*#music/l4d2/l4d2_c1_pc.mp3', file probably missing from disk/repository

Curiously you are checking if the file is in at the right location..
But HELL!
IN...

/steamapps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/sound/music/l4d2/l4d2_c1_pc.mp3

It's the case, the file is sitting quietly at the right location, then why the game cannot find the file???

This is pretty nasty likely errors due to Operating System POSIX-based system, like ... LINUX !

The fix is due to.. lowercase and uppercase check from LINUX, where Windows don't embarass itself with that!

Fix below

with your file explorer (I use Dolphin on Manjaro KDE myself)..

    GOTO:
        the bin/ directory under your Left 4 Dead 2 directory :

             /steamapps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/bin/

     FROM THERE:
        just rename 

             libmiles.so
                              to
                                  libMiles.so

        (notice the uppercased "M" instead lowercased "m" now!)

        Start your Left 4 Dead 2 game and, so, be happy!
