People who prefer Tier 1 weapons, why?
I know some people will vouch for the power of laser sighted Silenced SMG. This is not about those people.

I'm talking about people who bring un-laser sighted SMGs and pump shotguns for most of a campaign, or all the way to a finale for some reason.

So, referring back to the title, why?

Pump shotguns are the worst guns in the game, which makes it more fun than using a T2 like a HR or an autoshotgun.

T2 weapon can get boring very fast. Generally, I'll only take T2 if I noticed my team sucks more than usual, then yeah. 80% of time, it's pump shotty or laser chrome (don't ask why).

I prefer the well rounded feel of the smgs. I can perform better with them.

If using the hunting rifle is a tier 1 weapon then so what sometimes i like using the smg with or without the laser as for shotguns dont really need lasers makes very tiny differents almost no differents at all except showing were people are aiming besides that i like the pump action at times to keep me from spamming spreaded bullets but back to the hunting rifle if its tier 1 the I use it more then the military because of better accuracy specially with a laser sight and I take 2 pistols for accuracy fire rate and clip size.

Hunting Rifle's technically a Tier 2 and has power fitting for one, so I'm not including that.

The chrome shotgun is simply a fun weapon, it brings more challenge when crowning the witch or head shutting hunters.

Shotguns don't do headshot damage in L4D. They have a 1.35x damage mod on the head, which is the same damage mod as a stomach shot using valve's normal damage modifiers (though I don't 100% know if that's the stomach mod in L4D2).


Annoying really, as that one change would stop the pumps from being pure garbage.
