I've downloaded L4D2 twice already but steam is making me download it again.
with my computer it took me nearly an hour to download L4D2. After downloading it I became extremely frustrated because of this: steam was making me download it again EVEN THOUGH I had JUST finished downloading it.
I decided my best course of action was to continue anyways and let it re-download. I was wrong to do so. IMMEDIATELY after I had finished downloading it for the SECOND time, it started downloading again as though I had never done so.
This is extremely aggravating to a point where I struggle to not smash my computer with a hatchet(jk). Seriously though, I cannot bear through another unnecessary hour of downloading this crap.
I would very much appreciate if somebody could tell me how to fix this.

Steam uninstalls it due to your storage being in the low section.

Is there a way I can check to see if this is in fact the reason for my problem?

EDIT:
I've found this, perhaps it is the storage you speak of?
Steam>settings>downloads>Steam Library Folders
In There it says that I have 300 GB of free space(I'm sure that's enough)

After downloading the game, do not load again, but perform a cache integrity check

I've figured out a way to open L4D2. By going into L4D2's local files I can get into the game since I've downloaded it. However, by doing this I am not allowed into VAC servers.

I used to prize how amazing steam was. now I'm just dissapointed I can't use something that I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paid for.

If there is a shortcut in the library, then right-click, select properties. local files, check the integrity of files
