Is the AK overrated?

I know a lot of people say that the AK is awesome, but personally, after many hours, I cannot see the appeal of the AK.

Sure, it deals good damage, but at what expense? The gun is slow to set up because of the horrible reticle bloom when moving and the gun is also sub-par for taking out Specials because of the high recoil and aforementioned sub-par accuracy.

It's good for taking out Tanks I guess, but that's about it. Other than that, I nowadays prefer either the Combat or Hunting Rifle; both are extremely nimble yet accurate and pretty powerful weapons.

Best gun on game. Once your mucle memory knows the spread you will be very accurate with it :)

I actually would take an SMG over an AK because of how clumsy the AK is relative to the SMG.

AK47 is better for most of the situations, high damage and easy spray pattern.

Your just not used to it. Its a single or double tap for any special and spay and pray mows hordes better than any other.

Smg vs ak spread feels simmilar to me. Its jut the ak fires slightly slowwer with that rhythmic clack clack. Time those clack sounds and the recoil compensation amd welcome to the world of AK master race haha

It slows down the tank a bit, 4 aks will slow down the tank a lot..
With AK you can stun a witch (no other rifle do that)

This alone, make the ak better, dont even mention spread, this isnt CS, the spread here is pretty smal cone.

I started with the M16 but now I rarely touch it and that's not because it's bad, I've just taken a liking to the AK more. Crouching helps a lot with that weapon as the recoil is wild.

percentage hits doesn't take into account ranges of engagements though.

crouching does indeed help and I do crouch if I really do have to use the AK, I still don't like it. it's far too clumsy for my liking which is why i take the Combat Rifle or Hunting Rifle over it.

f*ck, I'd take an SMG over it, that thing is a nice little bullet hose that isn't terrible at even medium ranges.

I used to hate AK til I changed crosshair to static, now its my favorite gun in L4D2. You won't run out of ammo if you just tap/burst fire with it and infected die quickly as well because of high damage. Plus, laser AK is just so op and accurate...

if u played csgo in past ak recoil is piece of cake.
It took me 2 mins to get use to and I like it cuz it looks best of other weapons so that why I use it in first place.

look at my l4d2 stats ...hours and ak 47 kills.....I think I can teach anyone how to use it

I prefer m16 over ak47, because of accuracy and rate of fire. With ak47 many of the bullets miss so I always have to crouch to shoot anything in distance.

I don't mind using any of the assault rifles on Easy or Normal . The A.K can 1 shot common infected no matter where you hit them on Easy or Normal as well . Head , arms , legs or chest . I refuse to use the M - 16 or SCAR on Advanced . I just don't get good results unless I use the A.K on Advanced . Even then I hope to find laser sights , as it REALLY drops the recoil & makes the A.K more accurate .

I personally prefer the Spas or XM with a Magnum as a side over any other weapons. The AK great, but it's just not for me.

Ok now the bit with the Witch! I need to see some proof before i even remotely think about that being as a fact!
