You don't start with laser sights, you have to find 'em on the map. A weapon with laser pointer is statistically better than if you were to use the same weapon without laser. That's why there's no option to disable it, it would literally just be a downside.


And for the othe question it depends on what kinda mod you're talking about. Wouldya mind mentioning the mods? I'm sure I'll be able to help.

As mentioned laser pointer is a pickup in vanilla. However some server have it all the time and toggleable by typing !laser into chat. Other servers let you buy the sight with your points throught the !buy menu :)
