What happened to Survivors?

It says their in Military custody, so does that mean their arrested or being contained?

As far as I know the L4D1 survivors were imprisoned because they were carriers so they can't be with the millitary anymore.

With the L4D2 survivors, I wouldn't know. They're probably kept in custody or contained away from public to avoid spreading the infection.

Well, the L4D survivors probably went along with Bill's plan after he died. As for the L4D2 survivors, it wouldn't surprise me if they were all killed, or put in containment. But valve left it ambiguous for a reason.

I know from the comic, the l4d1 survivors escaped the military base and met up with the l4d2 survivors before sailing off, but was there any story for the l4d2 survivors after getting on the last military helicopter?
