For newbies getting KICKED in versus, READ THIS and implement

The reason for this thread is pretty simple. Newbies joining versus / scavenge games are complaining everywhere they're getting kicked. Actually, they're inexperienced to play advanced modes of the game and ruining the 'fun' of experience people, which normally defines as a BALANCED GAMEPLAY on both teams.

Here's a quick and simple explanation: Newbies starting in Grade 1 of L4D2 school (should be in strictly campaign and single player modes), but, because they have a pen and paper in their hands, they think they can go to classes of Grade 12 (versus and scavenge modes).

This is the reason you're getting kicked! Grade 1 students DO NOT belong in Grade 12. You will be thrown out! Introspect as to what you were doing wrong, instead of complaining why you got kicked.

The only possible ways to improve your skills will be:

- Finish all the campaigns in at least expert/expert realism because if you have done this, at least in versus / scavenge modes, you know how to cover and protect yourself and team mates. You will be kicked less as you'll be better as a survivor.

- Play in those 10v10 servers as infected until you get the hang of the basics, e.g. spitter always works with charger/hunter and never alone, barf booming, hunter damage pouncing, essential smoker spots, etc.

- Play with friends. Now this will allow you to at least not getting kicked from other 'pro' pubstar games. But mind you, if your mates are new, other team might quit because again, the team balance is not there.

- There's also a single player mod where you can play versus against bots.

Here's what happened in my last pub game:

A newbie with 6 hours joined our team in versus mode (might be an alt account with low hours but we can know from gameplay, he was new). I was smoked, 2 other were incapped, other spawns dead by that time. Us 3 were telling him/her to kill the smoker first then rush to get other 2 up. But this person doesn't even have ANY awareness and rushes to get them up only to get jockey'd. Gets kicked in less than 5 seconds later. (Maybe made a thread he/she got kicked in versus, who knows.)

If you're new, at least listen to what your team is saying/chatting instead of blindly rushing. Ignoring communication is also a problem. How many of us hate people who do not even read chats or listen to our mics for help?

This is why you need to finish the campaign mode first to learn the very basics of what to do in this situation. You cannot just fool around in advanced modes, ruin the balance of teamplay on both sides then either get kicked or quit in rage.

Simple as that, but I still have doubts this thread will have any impact on newbies. lol

Yesterday an "new player" (200+hrs on record) he was about to spawn as tank, (on the Dark Carnival Chapter 2) near the end of the map, on carousel event..
Before we had the chance to say anything he rushed the survivors, while taking fire, but he was inside the carousel, while it still closed.. he died in less than 20seconds.
After some "talk" he said "i did not know we could get up there" (talking about the infected ladder to get up the carousel)

I dont hate noobs, but i kick them with no mercy, its exhausting babysitting someone the whole map, just to die when you got pinned for the first time, or taking to much to save, making a smoker suck 60hp from you..

Call me elitist or pro-♥♥♥♥ or anyting, i dont care..

Happened to me today, me and my friend joined realism versus game, i checked team accounts (like i always do) and i found 0,7Hrs , 24Hrs or record. What the f*ck are these noobs thinking when joining REALISM VERSUS game........ Of course enemy team wasn't better so we kicked both of these noobs in our team and won 4v2 x)

IKR. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ casual game. People that play dota never complain or act like this, pretty laid back and cool community, while this one sucks ♥♥♥♥.

I bought the game long ago and just refunded it because the community was not worth it. I got it a couple days ago again and although im enjoying the game and trying to move forward through difficulty levels posts like this make me regret getting it back.

I'm assuming you're basing this off these boards, which is a mistake. Only the most vocal (read: whiny) of players come here to voice their opinion. Everyone else is too busy actually playing to spend much of their time here.

Uhh... Hi. Most of the stuff I know about L4D2 are from watching yt videos. I'm just cursed with bad lag, so if I try doing multiplayer, I just kinda try being as helpful as possible. I know that spitter should support hunters/chargers, hunters should go for weak people, etc. It's just lag, man.

Anyways, I think we should all just leave this thread.
