banned from an official l4d2 server?
hmm, today i tried to start a game on an official eu north server (l4d2). all players could connect (i guess all...) but i couldnt. reason: "steam user id blablabla is banned".
tried it 2 times but always same message. i played on that server last days, no problems on it. and of course: i dont have any ♥♥♥♥♥♥ vac problems or bans...
and it was an OFFICIAL SERVER....

Did you get votekicked from that server?
Votekick do ban for 5 or 10 minutes..

Besides that, could not be an official.

Its not Valve servers. You got banned from the server as the admin was on and he kicked you before. So you cannot join again. Its got nothing to do with Valve or anything important. Its just by luck you ran into the same server twice.

i wanst playing there before on same day. so no votekick before. and it IS a valve official EU north server... no idea wtf this is or was ... normally it could not be

This happened to me also. I dont think I joined that server atleast that day. But I got kicked. And I cant join there although it's been few days. And yes that was official server.

Last month, a bit similar thing happened with me as well.

I was on an official server (I check it right away when I join any game).

Mid-game, I got kicked all of a sudden and it said kicked by console.

Normally, this can only be done if it's not official server and kicked by an admin. But that was really an official server. I rejoined the same server, asked everyone but no one had clue.

Playing since day one but never seen this happened before.

My only guess is, I might have 'glitched' into some 3rd party server and still joined official one and the admin on that 3rd party server kicked me and I got message here. (There is a way to join a 3rd party server's lobby and still keep playing on a different server at the same time! It's an old glitch.)

official servers seem ban kicked players for a week now!
