How do I know my mic is working??
I don't have any fancy mic, just my headphones. I plugged them in, went to voice settings and stuff, but in game I dunno if people can hear me. I don't see any sign or signal. I heard that you have to press caps lock or v, but neither work. How do I make this work?

Try this command: voice_loopback 1

Type the command in console, put it in 1 and press the key v for microphone and you hear sounds of your voice.

Also if you have an autoexec file in the cfg folder, you can put these commands:

voice_modenable 1
voice_enable 1
voice_vox 0
voice_threshold 1
voice_scale 1
voice_loopback 1
bind "v" "voicerecord"
alias voicerecord voicerecord_on
alias voicerecord_on "+voicerecord; alias voicerecord voicerecord_off"
alias voicerecord_off "-voicerecord; alias voicerecord voicerecord_on"

A default push to talk button is 'c', unless you changed it. If you can hear yourself while testing microphone in options then people can hear you just fine.
