Can I run Left 4 Dead 2 with my laptop's current specs?
Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3337U CPU 1.80GHz
RAM: 6.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit operating system (with windows 8)
Display: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

I went to systemrequirements.com and apparently the graphics card might be a problem even though other sites, forums, etc. said that it was fine. My processor also seems fine. I really wanna make sure that i can play the game before I spend $20.00 on it. I researched what I could and all I got was a headache so help would be appreciated. (I'm not big on graphics either)

Your RAM is alright but you're gonna have problems with your GPU and CPU specs. It is quite low to run L4D2.

Don't really understand that, but how much would it hinder gameplay? I can run TF2 just fine if that means anything.

Minimum Requirements
Pentium 4 2.8GHz
Sempron 3100+
GeForce 6800 XT
Radeon HD 2600 XT Diamond Edition
Win Xp 32
DX 9
7.5 GB

This is the minimum system requirements to play L4D2.

Minimum Requirements
Pentium 4 1.7GHz
Athlon 64 2800+
GeForce FX 5500
Radeon X300 Series
Win Xp 32
DX 8
5 GB

And this is the minimum system requirements to play Team Fortress 2.

Your Laptop works just fine for TF2 but I don't think it'll be as smooth as you think when compared to L4D2.

well it was worth a shot I suppose. I guess I'll just keep playing L4D2 on xbox then.
You can play Left 4 Dead 2 just fine. Source is pretty cpu-dependant and that cpu is more than capable. Just make sure you don't crank everything up to the maximum settings right away.

his GPU is fine for it actually, the HD 4000 and up almost meet up with my Geforce9600m which runs it flawlessly, just don't set it to max settings.

I know there's a demo for consoles. See if there's a demo for either 1 or 2 on the store page. I'd say the specs for it are probably close to Dota 2 (aka terrible game, bring on the flame), Portal 2, or CSGO.

First, this is a very old thread and my pc, the specs will be at the bottom of my post, can run l4d2 from 25fps to 50fps with everything on low and paged pool memory on high. I downloaded a custom cfg file and put some codes in the set launch options window and it runs decently with intel hd graphics.

Specs: Intel Celeron(R) CPU N2830 @2.16GHz, 4gb RAM (3.89 Usable), 64 Bit OS, Windows 10 Home Edition, Intel HD 4000 graphics.
