How to increase FPS?
I wanted to play L4D2 with my sister, so i found old (~2007y) laptop, but game runs too slow like
50-70 fps in saveroom and 15-25 in the middle of fight with horde.
So maybe exist some addons to get low-res textures or something else, because it is impossible to play, when game become a slide show :P

My computer is from 2007, for awhile I played L4D2 with lots of missing/washed out textures and low framerates. I got a new graphics card for $40, popped it into my computer and it runs perfectly now.

How To Get Better Performance In L4D2:
1. Disable both anti aliasing and vertical sync in settings.
2. Lower shader and memory to medium or low (if need be).
3. Lower model, detail, texture, effect to medium (optional).
4. Refrain from using any mods from the workshop sadly.
5. Disable any background apps that may be interfering.
6. Lower the in-game resolution to 720p or even lower.
7. Save money to get a better laptop or desktop in the future.

This doesnt improve the fps in general but it removes the huge frame drop the adrenaline can have http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=356606916
