A Bunch of Questions
1. Is there any promotional content? (I.E. Anything only available for a limited time or more complicated than just buying DLC)
2. Is there anything permanently missable, even rewards for fulfilling specific conditions? (Go Your Own Way, Got To Go Fast, and In a Hurry unfortunately seem to fit.)
3. Is this game identical on all platforms, including the Switch version having an in-game achievement system?
4. Are there any bonuses for having save data from a different video game?
5. Does the 8-bit edition have all the content of the regular version, including Achievements, and what changed?
6. Does the 8-bit version save using a battery?
7. How difficult is it to fully complete?

Hello!

1. No DLC or anything promotional
2. Nothing missable, but in order to get all achievements you have to play the game at least twice, maybe more.
3. All platforms except the NES version should be identical
4. No bonus
5. The 8-Bit Edition is the same game but most noticeably are the changes to the rooms we made due to the NES having a smaller resolution, also the NES uses less colors. The 8-Bit edition is the only version that has the new levels we added (two new levels and two new tracks). The NES version doesn't have any achievements.
6. Yes, the NES cartridge has a battery save
7. Hard for us to say so maybe someone else can give us their thoughts

How were the rooms changed, and how does the Evercade release save and does the Switch version have achievements?

Well, the NES game was entirely rebuilt so every single room was changed from a 16:9 resolution to a 4:3 resolution meaning about 40% of the rooms were cut, it made the entire game feel a lot faster and more improved according to us, but that's a matter of taste.

The Evercade runs the NES version in an emulator so that handles the saves.

And no, the Switch version of Alwa's Awakening doesn't have achievements.

Thank you! One more question: If I fail any of the achievements I mentioned, like Got to Go Fast, do I have to start a new save?

No, you can use the same save :)

How does it work? Also I have a conundrum about the 8-bit edition. I want to experience the additional features, but I don't want to worry about the battery dying in the NES version, and the Evercade version comes with Cathedral which I feel uneasy about because there's some blood and I don't like seeing that stuff. Is it possible for the game to get another release?

Hello! Right now we're busy working on our new game so no plans for anything Alwa-related at the moment.
