Controller issues
I'm trying to play Alwa's Awakening with an iBuffalo SNES controller and running into a phantom input issue.

When looking at the inputs through x360ce, the vertical/horizontal inputs jump by +-1 (from 32767 to 32768) and Alwa's Awakening doesn't seem to have any deadzone so interprets these as inputs.

I'm tempted to blame the controller, but all other games and even the windows controller setup tool have a deadzone and so no input is registered so it seems like a bug in Alwa's Awakening.

Any way to fix this?

I'm not sure exactly what x360ce is but if it's a software that remap the controller. Could you try without it?

I want to help you :)

x360ce is a controller remapping tool, I see the same issue without it. I was primarily using it to see the raw controller input to see if my controller was busted.

I went ahead and used an Xbox One controller which worked fine.

Okay, I will put this on my list.

Glad that you got it to work, read your review as well. Sad to hear that you're not recommending it but thanks for giving it a go.

I think the issue is that I was a big Megaman and Castlevania 1/3 fan back in the day rather than a Castlevania 2 fan, so a slower feel isn't really my thing. I'll add a section mentioning this since I think there's a lot of people who are looking for a more Castlevania 2 feel and will quite enjoy it.
