Alwa's Awakening uninstalled and game save lost?

I beat two temples yesterday and when I clicked on it today the game was uninstalled and the cloud save didn't have anything?

What are the chances of this happening again? I'm kinda afraid of playing until I'm sure what happened.

We can't answer why Steam uninstalled a game for you but if you check this folder:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\EldenPixels\Alwa's Awakening

if you're on Windows and

/Users/%USERNAME%/Library/Application Support/unity.EldenPixels.Alwa's Awakening

if you're on OSX you should be able to see your save files.

Something weird is going on, once I enter the file select screen, it seems to freeze?

Hey, sorry for a late reply. This is the first time I've heard anything like this. Could you try and start a new save and see if it gets stored in the cloud?

Did you guys figure this out? I did a fresh steam install to play Alwa's Legacy and thought that I would play Alwa's Awakening too. But I don't see my saves :(

I have a copy of the Steam folder from my old computer and figured I should copy Alwa's Awakening from there. So I did and I got the same state as tanukitsune above.

I have since removed that old folder and reinstalled Awakening. It does work, I miss my save states.

Did you have cloud save when you launched? I figure that my save is lost since I played it near release.

It was close to four years ago when we launched so we can't remember if we launched with Cloud Save or not. Sorry!

@Schmoo, does this link help you at all? (Sorry I didn't see this a month and a half ago, and I'm not sure if I would have known about it then anyway since I learned about Steam cloud saves being accessible online only in the last month, but maybe it might still help.)
