How do you get the first Flask?

The guy says to get the hidden treasure from Amber Seccelum, I've scoured the entire place according to this map http://i.imgur.com/aswXhTh.jpg and gotten everything obtainable in each room and he still won't give me the flask? Do I have to drop a green block in front of him or something?

All you have to do is find that (copper?) coin in Amber Sacellum, then talk to the dude in the Shrine of Sea Monk. If that doesn't work then I have no idea what went wrong :p
