Head Office is pleased to announce that the island of Belmora is now accepting new miners.

Hi everyone! We're Active Meltdown, and Ore Heads now has a Steam page. This is our first post, so here's a look at what we've been digging into.

Ore Heads is a co-op mining game for up to 16 players. You come over the sea to an island stuffed with ore, sign on with Head Office, and work your way up from Intern Digger to Chairman of the Boulder.

• Dig in together: every shift the caves lay out a new layout. Explore them side by side, fill your backpack, and get carted out when Head Office sets off the Blast.

• Deeper is richer: level up to ride the mine line down to Greystone Deep and the Crystal Caverns.

• Sell it or make something of it: cash in at the Ore Buyer, or smelt, fire, cut and saw it at your own workstations.

• Build your own place: every miner gets a plot. Build it block by block, and take it into any friend's game.

• Dress for the job: over 50 looks for your Square Head, from flat caps to full Legendary sets.

The mountain goes deeper than Head Office's maps. Under the mines lie the dungeons of the Makers, sealed halls of carved stone that are laid out anew every run, and they are not empty.

From Level 20, the Department of Unusual Excavations sends out expedition crews. Gather your friends, light your lanterns and fight your way through the Makers' creatures to the boss waiting in the seal chamber. Bring back Maker artifacts with powers of their own, rolled gear, rare materials and pages of a story Head Office would rather you didn't read.

Ore Heads is growing from a cozy mining game into a co-op survival adventure. Over the coming updates you'll be keeping an eye on your health, food and stamina, and the island will ask a little more of you. Your plot will still be home, and the town will still be the warmest place on Belmora. We'll share more as it takes shape.

If Ore Heads looks like your kind of shift, please hit Add to your Wishlist and Follow. It really helps a small studio like ours, and Steam will let you know the moment the game launches.
