Hi everyone,

The biggest update to the Thieves & Gold demo is now live.

The Town has been rebuilt, the opening heist is now guided by the characters themselves, a new Mimic encounter has been added, and the complete demo is now available in German.

This update also includes major improvements to bombs, hammer targeting, challenges, run results, the Skill Tree, room fairness, and overall readability.

Rebuilt Town interface

The target list and building detail view have been redesigned to make jobs, rewards, occupants, crew assignments, and available actions easier to understand.

Clearer thief assignments

Sending a thief is now the primary action, with improved crew cards, clearer confirmation details, and better messaging when every thief is already busy.

Progression-aware Town rewards

Town payouts now grow alongside the rooms you unlock, with more reward variety across assignments.

Improved Donation Shrine

The Donation Shrine now unlocks more naturally through progression and has received a complete presentation pass.

Character-led tutorial guidance

Tutorial instructions are now presented through an in-world character ribbon connected to the object or action you should focus on.

Playable first-room guidance

Your first thief now guides you through targeting, breaking containers, collecting loot, finding keys, and finishing the opening room.

Clearer keys

Exposed keys now receive a visible beacon and stronger collection feedback.

Mimics are now part of the demo for the first time. This chest does not simply wait to be opened. It steals the loot you have discovered, forcing you to react before ending the run.

The encounter includes dedicated reveal, theft, destruction, and reward feedback so the Mimic remains readable even when the room is filled with containers, loot, damage numbers, and dungeon effects.

Hold to throw bombs repeatedly

Keep the button held to deploy consecutive bombs. When the final bomb is used, the game automatically switches back to the hammer.

Improved hammer targeting

Hover lock-on, short input grace, and click-to-arm behavior make selecting containers more dependable.

More reliable Loot Scanner

Automatic scan scheduling now works consistently.

Consistent floating numbers

Floating numbers now maintain a more consistent apparent size across different rooms.

Expanded run results

The end-run screen now includes a clearer loot ledger and challenge recap.

Improved Skill Tree hierarchy

Major unlocks stand out more clearly, upgrade descriptions better explain their outcomes, and challenge progress is easier to read.

Improved milestone presentation

Major progression moments now receive a more polished completion popup.

Challenge fixes

Duplicate run-wide container challenges and several confusing challenge states have been corrected.

Unreachable loot no longer blocks completion

Loot that falls outside the playable space can no longer prevent a room from clearing.

Cleaner destruction

Broken-object debris now settles, fades, and disappears naturally instead of abruptly popping away.

Streamlined key requirements

Demo rooms now use a clearer three-key structure.

This update also includes fixes and improvements to localized layouts, portraits, navigation indicators, Town highlights, tooltips, and post-run controls.

The complete demo is now available in German, including menus, tutorials, HUD, results, progression, Town, artifacts, and tooltips.
